Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

OPCam is built to be private by default. It works entirely on your device, with no account and no tracking. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

No account, no tracking

OPCam does not require an account, does not contain third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.

Your photos

Photos you capture — including the watermark and any records — are stored on your device and, with your permission, saved to your system photo library. OPCam never uploads your photos to any server.

Location

If you grant location access, OPCam uses your GPS position to write coordinates and a reverse-geocoded address into the photo watermark, and to place records on the in-app map. Your location is used on-device only and is never transmitted off your device.

On-chain proof (optional)

The "On-chain proof" feature is optional and off unless you enable it. When you anchor a photo, OPCam sends only:

to OPCam's notarization service, which records the fingerprint on the Optimism blockchain. Your photo, GPS coordinates, and device identifiers are not sent. Because a public blockchain is permanent, an anchored fingerprint and its timestamp are public and cannot be deleted — but they reveal nothing about the image's contents, your identity, or your location.

Purchases

On-chain anchoring credits are sold as an in-app purchase processed by Apple. OPCam does not receive or store your payment information; Apple handles the transaction. Credits are tracked on your device.

Data we collect

None that is linked to your identity. OPCam collects no personal data. The only information that leaves your device is the anonymous fingerprint described above, and only when you choose to anchor a photo.

Children

OPCam is not directed to children and collects no personal information from anyone.
